Last week we hosted an exclusive VIP business event for Fenjiu (one of China’s TOP 4 Baiju) at the Art Gallery of South Australia. This was part of an international campaign to introduce this historical Chinese spirit to different parts of the world.
Fenjiu is a popular distilled spirit originating from Shanxi, a province in northern China. With 6,000 years of brewing history and 1,500 years of history as famous liquor, fenjiu is dubbed the soul of Chinese spirits. “Hen xiang”—how fragrant. It’s the most common descriptor for Fenjiu.
The event was a glorious night of spectacular food and drink pairings, cultural exchange and entertainment. The event decor was also specifically designed to match the blue and white china team. The highlight was definitely being able to work closely with the AGSA Eat culinary team to curate an exceptional menu revolving around the popular spirit.
These distinct pairings allowed for a memorable dining experience. It doesn’t stop there, Fenjiu was also infused in the food and cocktails. We’re proud to have hosted the first event in South Australia that combined the two elements for an event.
